The Venice Film Festival is under way! Things kicked off Wednesday with the premiere of Kate Hudson and Liev Schreiber's The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Both Kate and Liev brought their significant others. Kate made the rounds with Matthew Bellamy, while Liev stuck close to Naomi Watts. Zac Efron rolled into town ahead of At Any Price's debut, while Winona Ryder popped up to show off The Iceman. The festival will continue through next week with stars like Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, and Joaquin Phoenix heading over for photo ops, interviews, and gondola rides.

I've been watching a lot of HGTV since coming to LA. My favorite shows are House Hunters and House Hunters International. There's also another show I like to watch called For Rent, but only because it makes me angry.

When it comes to apartments/homes, I think living in New York for the past eleven years has made me bitter because there was this whiny broad on For Rent a few nights ago who was looking at a huge place—A HUGE PLACE—and was like, "There's no place for a dining room table..."

B*TCH, YOU'RE LUCKY TO GET A KITCHEN IN NEW YORK.

I hated her.

Now there's some stupid lady on House Hunters who wants a townhouse with a fireplace that she can turn on with a light switch. IT HAS TO BE A LIGHT SWITCH because she doesn't want to bend down and flip a switch on the floor.

WHO DO THESE PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE?

Anyway, I know my LA update is WAY overdue (and truth be told I wrote a long one last week but for some reason it didn't save so I lost the whole thing and I was so angry that I just said, "Ah, f*ck it," and closed the computer instead of rewriting) but to give you a quick update, I AM SO HAPPY HERE. I MEAN, I'M REALLY, REALLY HAPPY. And I think living here and watching HGTV—both of these things combined—has made me realize that New York was just beating me down. I mean, the fireplace lady—yes, she's an idiot. But there's nothing wrong with wanting a dining room table. Why did I get so mad at that lady?

Since being here, at least once a day I ask myself why I have lived in New York for so long. (It's like I had Stockholm Syndrome or something.) CALIFORNIA IS AWESOME. It's like the promised land. It's sunny all the time and there are birds and flowers everywhere. I have space out here. I have a sofa on the patio out here. I HAVE A SOFA OUTSIDE. I haven't seen one rat since I've been here. But hummingbirds? THEY ZIP BY MY HEAD EVERY DAY. I am so happy.

I'm supposed to go back to New York in November, but truth be told, I'm not sure I will.

Adele posed for an elegantly put together Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot spread while talking about everything from ridding of the booze to her highly publicized vocal cord surgery. Highlights from Adele's interview are as follows.

On her 'loud' personality: “I am quite loud and bolshie,” she says (British slang for unruly and clamorous). “I’m a big personality. I walk into a room, big and tall and loud.” Indeed. There is no doubt when Adele is in the building. The rule of thumb for protecting one’s vocal cords, she tells me, is: If people are more than an arm’s length away, you shouldn’t talk to them. “But I am like, Wah! Wah! Wah!,” she says, laughing. “It’s really bad.”

On giving up drinking last May: “Don’t like drinking anymore. I think I got it out of my system. D’yaknowhaImean?”

On her vocal troubles: “I’ve been singing properly every day since I was about fifteen or sixteen and I have never had any problems with my voice, ever. I’ve had a sore throat here and there, had a cold and sung through it, but that day it just went while I was onstage in Paris during a radio show. It was literally like someone had pulled a curtain over it.” She flew to London the next morning to see her doctor and was diagnosed with acute laryngitis. After a couple weeks’ rest, she continued her European tour, came to America, and then her voice went again in May. “That was a hemorrhage... a burst blood vessel on my vocal cord. That healed, I did a tour, and then it happened again at my best friend’s wedding on October 1.”

On getting support through her surgery from other artists: “John Mayer had it done at the same time as I did and he really helped me be chilled out about it. Roger Daltrey’s had loads of stuff done; Steven Tyler reached out; Elton John. Lots of artists have had problems with their voices, but you don’t know about it. And they are still singing incredibly well in their 50s and 60s.”

On her six Grammy nominations: “I burst into tears when I found out. And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.” [gallery=821]

Wearing a Sling, Cheryl Cole Laughs with Fans After Car Crash With Will.i.am

With her left arm tucked into a sling, Cheryl Cole seems to have put her nasty car accident behind her as she greeted fans today (August 31).

The Girls Aloud star and Black Eyed Peas singer Will.i.am were involved in an automobile bang-up in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

They were on their way home after working together at a recording studio. Both were reportedly bleeding from the nose when medics arrived at the scene.

But on Friday Miss Cole laughed off the incident as she arrived at the BBC radio studios in London, England.

Looking totally unshaken in a claret top and pants, the 29-year-old singer assured fans she was fine as she signed autographs outside the studio.

Before her trip to the BBC she had an interview at London's Capital Radio across the city.

She jokingly said Will.i.am may have caused the accident because he was busy chatting away to her when his Cadillac collided into a parked vehicle.

Speaking of the sling, Cheryl told her interviewer, "You know what, I think it's actually hurting more to have it in the sling than it does when it's not in there.

"I was just told to wear it for three days. I'm following doctor's orders."

It’s no secret she’s had a rough go of it in recent years, and Whitney Houston has died of undisclosed causes, says her publicist Kristen Foster. With her fans and friends understandably devastated by the news, details available thus far tell that the "I Will Always Love You" singer was found unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday (February 11). With paramedica arriving within minutes, Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55PM with a full investigation already underway - though there are said to be no signs of foul play. According to TMZ, a search of the Beverly Hilton Hotel room in which the 48-year-old was staying found no illegal drugs, though prescription medications were located. TMZ adds that there's a chance Miss Houston died from drowning in the bathtub, but since her body was removed from the water before EMTs arrived the conclusive determination must await an autopsy. It's still holding firm in the number one spot in iTunes, and now Taylor Swift has treated fans to the music video accompanying her hot, new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”.

Dropping the visual creation on Thursday night (August 30), the 22-year-old country superstar can be seen adorned in a sassy little frock with her signature red lips as she dances it up throughout the 3:11 long production.

Directing the action was Declan Whitebloom, who also helmed music videos for Taylor's tracks "Mean" and "Ours," as he impressively shot the latest effort with only one camera in one continuous take.

Already breaking sales records, "Never Ever" is included in Miss Swift's forthcoming fourth studio album “Red” - which will see in its release on October 22nd.

Trying to keep a low profile, Zac Efron carefully boarded a water taxi before heading over to the 69th Venice International Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Thursday (August 30).

The handsome "Lucky One" actor showed off his bulging arm muscles as he carried a duffle bag in front of him down the dock wearing a hat, grey pants and a black v-neck t-shirt.

During his visit, Zac is expected to attend a couple screenings for his upcoming indie film "At Any Price" where he plays an aspiring NASCAR racer, starring alongside Dennis Quaid who plays his father - an Iowa farmer.

After the movie is shown at the Venice Film Festival, Zac will likely make an appearance at the 39th Telluride Film Festival where "At Any Price" will be unveiled, before the movie heads to the Toronto International Film Festival next week.

Just one day after Life & Style claimed Adele ran off and secretly got hitched, the star came forward and slammed the reports.

The tabloid reports the "Someone Like You" singer and her boyfriend Simon Konecki had a “secret wedding” and that she was seen shortly after wearing a “gold wedding band."

Clearly tired of reading the tabloids, Adele took to Twitter to clear up the rumors simply writing, "I'm not married," followed by the sleepy gesture, "Zzzzzzz."

Earlier today, a source persisted the story was true, telling Mail Online, "They did get married, and I was present. It was a fabulous occasion. Adele was dressed in a classic attire and Simon looked very smart and joyous."

Although she might not have tied the knot, Adele still has a bundle of joy to look forward to, after posting on her web site in June, "Im delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together."

Go see Captain America this weekend! Support our Colin!

I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

(Sit down, stop jumping around, it's an awesome picture, I know. And the quality is amazing. It's not grainy or reddish... it's perfect.) (No, it's not.)

(And you can totally see the Captain America logo on the side of the glasses.) (No, you can't.)

Anyway, Captain America is pulling a strong 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now so GO SEE IT! IT'S FANTASTIC!

It’s no secret she’s had a rough go of it in recent years, and Whitney Houston has died of undisclosed causes, says her publicist Kristen Foster. With her fans and friends understandably devastated by the news, details available thus far tell that the "I Will Always Love You" singer was found unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Saturday (February 11). With paramedica arriving within minutes, Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55PM with a full investigation already underway - though there are said to be no signs of foul play. According to TMZ, a search of the Beverly Hilton Hotel room in which the 48-year-old was staying found no illegal drugs, though prescription medications were located. TMZ adds that there's a chance Miss Houston died from drowning in the bathtub, but since her body was removed from the water before EMTs arrived the conclusive determination must await an autopsy. Continuing on with her birthday celebrations, Lea Michele was spotted leaving Bristol Farms in West Hollywood, CA on Wednesday (August 29).

The newly 26-year-old star looked very happy as she gave a quick wave to the cameras before joining beau Cory Monteith to head home.

It appears that her “Glee” co-star and off-screen lover started the celebrations a bit early, as the brunette beauty tweeted, “Someone very special is already making it the best birthday ever. So happy:) See you in the morning! #lasthourbeforeiturn26!!!!” late last night.

Lea’s friend and cast mate Dianna Agron also spread the love and tweeted, “Birthday wishes to one @msleamichele! I tried to send a little bird with a note but it got confused. Had to send an email instead.”

Miss Michele definitely appreciated all of the attention as she shared, “Thank you all so much for all the amazing birthday wishes!!!! Love you all!!! Xoxoxo”
