Jessica Sanchez's Memorial Day Performance in Washington D.C.

Taking her talents to the nation's capitol, Jessica Sanchez was on hand to perform at the 2012 PBS National Memorial Day concert in Washington, DC on Saturday (May 26).

The 16 year-old "American Idol" finalist looked adorable as she rehearsed in black skinny jeans and high top sneakers before changing into more formal outfits including a full-length blue gown and a white lace knee-length dress with strappy white heels for her official stage efforts of the National Anthem and Yolanda Adam's tune, "The Prayer".

Joining Jessica on stage for the annual holiday event were fellow music stars including Daughtry, Natalie Cole and country hitmaker, Trace Adkins.

The D.C. experience comes just after Miss Sanchez finished out Season 15 of "American Idol" as the runner up to winner Phillip Phillips.

Not taking the loss too toughly, Sanchez seemed thrilled to have made it as far as she did during a chat with media members, explaining, "I wasn’t nervous about anything. I was actually excited, because I really thought Phillip was going to win and I was so happy for him. I think he deserves it 100%. I was just happy to be there in the top two.”
